How to Reach the University of Illinois at Chicago
[El-Subway] [Train] [Car] [Campus Parking]
The LAC main lab is located in SEO, building #87 on the map below.
Parking is available at the Halsted Street Parking Garage (#4).
UIC is served by the UIC/Halsted elevated-subway station #34 on the
map.
The campus is served by the O'Hare Congress/Douglas lines (the blue line
trains).
Exit at the UIC/Halsted stop. Walk up the ramp and walk one block south
to the campus.
From O'Hare: Take the blue line to the
UIC/Halsted stop (about 45 minutes).
Take the train to either Northwestern or Union Stations, downtown
Chicago.
From Union Station: walk south on Clinton to the subway station at
Clinton/Congress. Board the train heading to the west side. Exit at the
UIC/Halsted stop (about 5 minutes).
From Northwestern Station: Board any eastbound bus on Washington. Get
off the
bus at the corner of Dearborn and Washington streets. Transfer to the
Dearborn Subway
heading west. Exit the subway at the UIC/Halsted stop.

UIC is just west of the junction of three major interstate expressways.
Several exits from
I-90 and I-94 (the Kennedy/Dan Ryan expressways), and I-290 (the
Eisenhower
expressway) provide access to the campus.
From the North: Take the Kennedy expressway to the westbound Eisenhower
expressway and keep to the right. Take the first exit from the
Eisenhower, Morgan Street;
then take Morgan streetr one block south to the campus.
From the South: Take the Dan Ryan expressway to Roosevelt Road (1200
south). Go
west on Roosevelt Road to Halsted Street; then go north on Halsted street
to UIC.
From the West: Take the Eisenhower expressway to the Racine Ave exit.
Then go south
to Harrison street and east on Harrison to UIC.
From the East: Take Harrison Street or Roosevelt Road. If you take
Roosevelt, turn
north on Halsted Street to UIC.
There are several places to park on campus:
Lot 4 (closest to LAC): Halsted Street with entrances on Halsted and Taylor streets.
Lot 9: Corner of Harrison and Morgan Streets.
Lot 7: Harrison Street , just west of Morgan Street.
There is a fee for parking in the lots, up to [[$]]8.25 for the whole day.
